ED attaches SP leader Azam Khan's Rs 1,170-crore Jauhar University in UP

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) attached properties of Mohammad Ali Jauhar University in Uttar Pradesh, owned by Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan, in a money laundering probe. 

The ED alleges diversion of government funds and resources worth Rs 426.46 crore for the private university's construction, with only Rs 72.63 crore legitimately accounted for. Khaln, a former UP minister, allegedly used government contracts and development funds improperly. 

Multiple FIRs accuse illegal land acquisition, leading to police cases and ongoing investigations while Khan remains jailed on other charges.
