Deadly Road Accident in Afghanistan Claims 64 Lives

At least 64 commuters were killed, and three others sustained injuries in a deadly road mishap on the night of August 19 in western Afghanistan's Herat province.
The accident occurred at night after a passenger bus collided with a motorbike and a mini-truck on a road linking neighboring Iran to Herat City in Afghanistan.
Most of them were women and children who were Afghan refugees who returned from Iran to settle in their homeland, Afghanistan.
According to an official in the rescue department that the passenger bus caught fire, and many bodies could not be recognised.
The official added that the number of the victims could go up as the collection of information continues.
