The BCCI appointed Pragyan Ojha as chairman of the men's selection committee, succeeding Ajit Agarkar, with Ramesh Powar joining as a member following a Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC)-led selection process.

The five-member panel includes Shiv Sundar Das, RP Singh, and Ajay Ratra. Ojha’s appointment was notable due to seniority considerations over Wasim Jaffer. Powar brings international coaching experience from women's cricket.

The committee will oversee national team selections after Agarkar’s successful tenure marked by multiple ICC and Asia Cup titles.
