President Holds Bilateral Meeting with President of South Africa

President Anura Kumara Dissanayake, who is in the United States for the 80th UNGA, met with South African President Cyril Ramaphosa on the afternoon of 23 September (U.S. time) at ONE Plaza, New York.

President Ramaphosa extended a warm welcome to President Dissanayake. The two leaders then engaged in bilateral discussions, focusing on strengthening relations between Sri Lanka and South Africa.

Foreign Minister Vijith Herath, Sri Lanka’s Permanent Representative to the UN Jayantha Jayasuriya, and senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs were present at the event.
