Verbal clash between Gajendrakumar and Arjuna at Valikamam North Divisional Development meeting

A meeting of the Valikamam North Divisional Development Committee, chaired by MP S. Sribhavanandaraja, saw heated exchanges between MPs Gajendrakumar Ponnambalam and Ramanathan Arjuna.

A resolution was discussed regarding upgrading the Tellippalai Hospital cancer treatment unit and bringing it under central government control to improve services.

Other issues including the Thayiddy temple, transport matters, and land release were also discussed.

A strong verbal confrontation reportedly erupted between the two MPs over the hospital issue, as well as over the demand to release lands around the Thayiddy temple. MP Arjuna is said to have used strongly offensive language during the exchange.
