The City of Hamilton says some public spaces in recreational facilities will be unavailable on October 26 while they're being used for the municipal election.

While recreation centres will be open, certain rooms or spaces will be impacted by election activities on October 26 and some gym-based programs have been cancelled.

Elementary and high school students in the Hamilton and Niagara regions will have the day off on Monday as schools won't be holding classes on municipal election day.
