Fire, heavy smoke at Burnaby SkyTrain stop closes 3 stations

Gilmore SkyTrain station in Burnaby is closed due to a fire and heavy smoke at the stop, TransLink says.

Service was suspended at 5:50 a.m. PT, according to an alert on TransLink's website.

Rupert and Brentwood stations are also temporarily closed. Trains are still operating from VCC-Clark to Renfrew and Lafarge Lake to Brentwood, the alert said.

The Expo Line and Canada Line are unaffected. The stations will reopen once the investigation is complete and the infrastructure has been cleared for operation.
