Russia kills 11 in massive missile assault

Russia launched a massive aerial assault on Ukraine, striking Kyiv and other cities with 70 missiles and 611 drones, killing at least 11 and injuring dozens. Civilian areas and a historic UNESCO-listed cathedral were damaged, sparking condemnation from Ukrainian leaders who called for stronger international support. 

Russia claimed military targets were hit and denied responsibility for the cathedral damage. The attack coincided with diplomatic efforts involving Ukraine, Russia, and the US, as Ukraine sought increased aid amid ongoing conflict.
