Ready to cooperate: Zelenskyy
17-Aug-2025.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy asserted that he was ready for "constructive cooperation" in ending the war with Russia after Donald Trump told him that Putin preferred a "comprehensive peace deal" to a ceasefire, Axios reported.
In a short statement, Zelenskyy said he would travel to Washington on August 18 at the invitation of Donald Trump. It will be the second meeting between the two leaders this year after their disastrous Oval Office face-off in February.
According to Axios, Trump is believed to have told Zelenskyy to negotiate a "fast peace deal" rather than a ceasefire.
