Former US Attorney found dead at home

Jessica Aber, the former US Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia (EDVA), was found dead at her residence on Mar 22, officials said. 

According to Alexandria Police, Aber, 43, was found unresponsive at her home int the morning.

Authorities responded to a 9.18 am emergency call reporting an unresponsive woman. Upon arrival, they confirmed Aber’s death. 

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine the official cause and manner of death, police said in a statement.

Jessica Aber, nominated by then-President Joe Biden in 2021, resigned a day after Donald Trump took office in January this year.
