Indian triple jumper Selva Prabhu won bronze at the Commonwealth Games despite battling food poisoning, which he believes cost him a gold medal. He jumped 16.52m, behind Scotland's Jordon Scott (16.72m) and compatriot Praveen Chithravel (16.58m). 

With a personal best of 17.05m, Selva feels he could have won if healthy. Focused on recovery and qualification, he aims for the 2026 Asian Games but must secure selection from the Athletics Federation of India first.
