India women's cricket team, coached by Amol Muzumdar, won the Asia Cup by defeating Sri Lanka but refused to accept the trophy from PCB chief Mohsin Naqvi, following a decision by the BCCI.

Despite offering two alternative presenters, Naqvi rejected them, leading to a standoff.

The incident echoes a similar controversy from the men's Asia Cup final in 2025, reflecting ongoing tensions between India and Pakistan cricket boards.

The Indian team expressed pride in their victory and is now focusing on upcoming Asian Games.
