President calls for better energy management at local government level

President Anura Kumara Dissanayake has instructed officials to engage with institutions on improving energy management at the local government level.

At a meeting held at the Presidential Secretariat, attention was focused on strengthening recent government measures to ensure practical and efficient energy usage.

Special emphasis was placed on managing peak electricity demand between 6.00 p.m. and 10.00 p.m.

The President stressed the importance of collective responsibility, urging both institutions and individuals to adopt efficient and economical energy practices to overcome current challenges.
