Asgiriya Mahanayake Thera Requests Justice for Suresh Sallay

The Most Venerable Warakagoda Sri Gnanarathana Thera, Mahanayake of the Asgiriya Chapter, has requested President Anura Kumara Dissanayake to consider appropriate relief measures for former intelligence chief Suresh Sallay, who is currently detained under the Prevention of Terrorism Act.

In an official letter to the President, the Mahanayake Thera stated that Sallay’s wife had visited the Asgiriya Maha Viharaya and appealed for assistance in securing fair treatment for her husband.

The letter included a copy of the petition submitted by Sallay’s wife and urged the President to personally consider the matter and take suitable steps to provide appropriate relief.
