29-May-2026.
The Integrated Joint Opposition submitted a complaint to the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption on 27 May, calling for the suspension of Director General Ranga Dissanayake from service.
The complaint also urged legal action against what the opposition described as various acts of corruption, irregularities, and malpractice allegedly committed by the current Government.
Speaking to the media alongside representatives of other parties within the Integrated Joint Opposition, New People’s Front leader Sukeeswara Bandara criticised the conduct of the Commission’s Director General and expressed strong objections regarding his actions.
