ITAK MPs meet Karnataka legislator

ITAK MPs Sivagnanam Sridharan and Dr Ilaiyathambi Sreenath met Karnataka Congress MLA Dinesh Gundu Rao during their visit to the Indian state to discuss issues affecting Sri Lankan Tamils.

During the meeting, the MPs highlighted the continuing challenges faced by Tamils in the Northern and Eastern Provinces, including militarisation, land occupation and security concerns. They also stressed the need for a lasting political solution based on power sharing and called for India's continued engagement and international support in advancing justice and reconciliation.

The discussions also focused on the Chemmani mass grave and the need for an independent and credible international process to ensure justice for victims of alleged human rights violations and enforced disappearances.
