Conspiracy to destroy SJB, Sajith: Mujibur Rahman

Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) MP Mujibur Rahman dismissed rumours of an internal move to replace Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa, while warning of a deliberate conspiracy to politically weaken both the party and its leader.

“There has been no discussion within the SJB to remove Sajith Premadasa from his position as Opposition Leader,” Rahman said at a media briefing. 

“However, there are certain elements working to politically destroy both our party and its leader.”

He alleged that these elements appear to be operating with the tacit support of the government.
