Arrest Moves Underway for Former Lottery Board Director Thusitha Halloluwa

Colombo Crime Division officers are reportedly taking steps to arrest Thusitha Halloluwa, former Director of the National Lottery Board and former Public Relations Director to ex-President Ranil Wickremesinghe.

This action follows investigations into a shooting incident involving a vehicle carrying Halloluwa and his lawyer, as well as the theft of documents.

Police say Halloluwa is now in hiding from his residence.

Officers visited his home but found he was not there.

They also searched multiple places he frequents, but he was not present at any of them.

Several suspects—including the shooter, a motorcycle rider, and others who facilitated them—have been arrested.

Based on technical and other investigative findings, the CID is continuing efforts to arrest Halloluwa.
