33 people rescued from floods in Rajanganaya

Thirty-three people trapped in floods in the Giribawa area of Rajanganaya were safely rescued by Air Force personnel using a helicopter.

The rescue took place in the morning.

The Sri Lanka Air Force used an MI-17 helicopter to extract all those stranded and transported them to the Anuradhapura Air Force Base.
