The US Justice Department approved Paramount Skydance Corp's $110 billion acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery after an eight-month review, finding it unlikely to harm competition or consumers. The merger aims to boost competition in streaming, TV, and film, benefiting audiences and workers. 

Despite political ties and concerns from Democratic senators about foreign investors from Middle Eastern and Chinese funds, the deal keeps voting control with Paramount's CEO family. Several states, including California, continue investigating and preparing lawsuits to block the merger.
