Iran invited to join Makkah Pact

Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, and Turkey formed the Makkah Defence Pact for mutual protection and regional security. Iran reportedly received an invitation to join, a surprising move due to its rivalry with Saudi Arabia and ties to Yemen's Houthis. 

While Tehran has not opposed the pact and views it as a sign of regional cooperation, official confirmations are pending. The pact aims to enhance collective defense without targeting specific countries and could expand to include others like Egypt and Bangladesh, signaling a potential new regional security framework.
