Congress opposes Vijay govt's 3rd child move

Tamil Nadu extended maternity leave to 365 days for women government employees having a third child, matching leave for the first two children, aiming to support social welfare and women's empowerment. 

Congress MP Karti Chidambaram opposed this, arguing the government should not encourage larger families without considering their resources and suggested paternity leave should also be addressed. This follows Supreme Court guidelines and contrasts with Andhra Pradesh's recent cash incentives to promote third and fourth children.
