Ukraine proposes renaming war-torn region after Trump

In the war-torn Donbas region of eastern Ukraine, diplomats proposed renaming it "Donnyland" to appeal to former President Donald Trump's branding style and encourage stronger US pressure on Russia. 

Ukraine envisions Donnyland as a semi-autonomous zone under Trump’s symbolic oversight, aiming to freeze conflict without ceding full control. Despite Russia controlling much of Donbas and insisting on total legal control, Ukraine resists territorial concessions. 

Talks continue amid a stalemate, with the Donnyland idea reflecting creative but ultimately stalled peace efforts.
