Khamenei's wife dies two days after him

Mansoureh Khojasteh, the wife of Iran’s late Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has died after sustaining injuries in recent strikes, according to Iranian state media.

The development comes amid escalating tensions following the killing of Khamenei in joint US-Israeli attacks that targeted multiple locations in and around Tehran. 

Iranian state outlets said Khojasteh had been injured in the same wave of strikes and later succumbed to her wounds.

Khojasteh, 78, was the only wife of Khamenei. They married in 1964.
