Sundar Pichai announces free Google Veo 3 for everyone

Google is giving users the chance to unleash their inner filmmaker this weekend with free access to Veo 3, its cutting-edge AI-powered video creation platform. 

The surprise announcement came from CEO Sundar Pichai, who urged people to explore the tool’s creative possibilities without the usual subscription barrier.

The offer is part of Google’s wider push to get more people experimenting with its most ambitious media tool yet. Normally, Veo 3 is locked behind the company’s AI Pro subscription on the Gemini app, which costs Rs 1,999 per month in India. 

Although new subscribers are eligible for a one-month free trial, this is the first time Google has waived restrictions for everyone, Pro users or not.
