Reducing a 50-day deadline set by him for Russia to reach a ceasefire, US President Donald Trump on July 28 said that Vladimir Putin had only 10 or 12 days to agree to Ukraine peace deal or face sanctions.

Making his frustration with Putin for prolonging the Ukraine war known, Trump said that there was no point waiting so long as he knew what was going to happen.

Speaking alongside British Prime Minister Keir Starmer ahead of their meeting in Scotland, Trump said, "I'm disappointed in President Putin. I'm going to reduce that 50 days that I gave him to a lesser number because I think I already know the answer what's going to happen".
