Police have charged an Ottawa man with dangerous driving causing death after a fatal bicycle crash earlier this week.

At around 2:30 a.m. on Sept. 24, a woman was riding her bike when she was struck by a vehicle, the Ottawa Police Service said in a Saturday afternoon news release.

The woman went to the hospital, police said, where she died two days later. She was identified by police Saturday as 33-year-old Chanel Charette.
