Special Attention on the Repatriation of Sri Lankans in Israel

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced that special attention will be given to the requests for repatriation made by Sri Lankan workers in Israel and Iran.

The Ministry stated that this decision was made due to the escalating tensions between the two countries. Currently, airspaces over both Israel and Iran are closed.

The Ministry further stated that once the airspaces are reopened, steps will be taken to bring Sri Lankan workers back to the country.

Special hotlines have been introduced for Sri Lankans in Israel and Iran to report emergency situations.

The Ministry informed that additional information can be obtained by calling the telephone numbers 0112 325 373 and 0112 207 200.
