Starlink to begin commercial operations in Sri Lanka this month

Sri Lanka is gearing up to welcome Starlink, the satellite internet service by tech billionaire Elon Musk, with commercial operations expected to commence later this month.

Deputy Minister of Digital Economy, Eranga Weeraratne confirmed the development, saying that trial operations are already underway across the country.

“We will be able to start commercial operations this month,” Weeraratne told the media, adding that the necessary groundwork has been completed to facilitate the official rollout.
