Let Us Make This the Final IMF Program Required by Sri Lanka: IMF

Gita Gopinath, First Deputy Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), has urged that the current program being implemented by the IMF be made the final financial assistance program that Sri Lanka will require.

As Sri Lanka is now in the final phase of its current IMF program, Gopinath emphasized a strong message of recognition and commitment. She stressed that this must be the last IMF program needed by Sri Lanka.

She further stated that the IMF will continue to be a committed partner in Sri Lanka’s journey towards sustainable and inclusive growth, aimed at improving the lives of all its citizens and future generations.
