People’s Protest in Thiriyai Against Land Grabs and Political Marginalization

The 10th day of the 100-day action campaign organized by the Northeast Coordination Committee was held on August 10 in Thiriyai village under the Kuchchaveli area, Trincomalee district.

The war-affected people of Thiriyai continue to face land confiscation.

The united people demanded a collective political solution with devolved powers for the North-East Province.

A large number of people participated actively in the protest.
