Amazon CEO hints at more layoffs
19-Jun-2025.

Amazon has reportedly indicated that the rise of artificial intelligence (AI) will lead to job cuts at the company over the next few years.
CEO Andy Jassy shared this update in a memo, where he said that as more AI tools and agents are introduced, the company will need fewer people for some current roles.
According to Jassy, AI is changing the way work is done at Amazon.
While it will open up new types of jobs, it will also replace several existing ones. He added that it's difficult to predict exactly how things will turn out, but the company expects a reduction in its corporate workforce as AI becomes a bigger part of operations.
