Three companies linked to Dayagamaké go up for auction

Three companies, said to be owned by former Minister Daya Kamaké, have been ordered by the Colombo Commercial High Court to be publicly auctioned. 

The Deputy Registrar of the Court has stated that the auction will be held on Jul 2 at 10:00 AM local time.

These three companies will be sold publicly in order to recover LKR 104,229,342 owed to a private finance institution.

Out of the LKR 108,309,342 owed, LKR 4,080,000 has already been paid by the defendants. Consequently, under the court order issued on Nov 10, 2022, the remaining balance is now being recovered through this auction.

The companies scheduled for sale are Daya Group Limited, Daya Apparel Exporter (Private) Limited, and Olympus Construction Private Limited.
