The National Investigation Agency (NIA) detained and questioned a BJP worker from Karnataka's Shivamogga in connection with the Rameshwaram Cafe blast case, sources said.

In a statement, the NIA said that to gather evidence and information, the probe agency has been "summoning and examining all of the acquaintances including college and school time friends of the absconding and arrested accused persons".
Last week, the NIA conducted raids on the houses of two suspects -- Abdul Matheen Taahaa and Mussavir Hussain -- in Shivamogga and a mobile store. The raids were carried out after the arrest and questioning of Muzammil Shareef, another key suspect, on March 28.
