Anuradhapura Prison Superintendent Remanded

Anuradhapura Prison Superintendent, Mohan Karunaratne, has been arrested by the Police Intelligence Division and remanded until June 11.

This order was issued on June 9 after he was produced before the Anuradhapura Magistrate's Court.

Mohan Karunaratne was arrested based on allegations that he illegally released a prisoner, who was involved in corruption and fraud offenses, under a presidential pardon.
