.

Samsung Electronics has decided to invest Rs 1,000 crore (around $117 million) in its facility in Southern India, reported Reuters. This announcement comes just months after the plant faced worker protests over staff suspensions.
Tamil Nadu’s Industries Minister, Dr TRB Rajaa, shared the news on X, saying the investment shows Samsung’s trust in the state’s workforce. He also mentioned that the company will add 100 new jobs at the facility, mentioned the report.
While the minister didn’t mention when the new investment will take place, it’s a clear sign that Samsung is keen to keep growing in India despite recent worker troubles.
