Karnataka Governor praises state's development model
.

Karnataka’s unique development model is drawing attention from economists and universities worldwide, with global institutions recognising its impact, said Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot in his address to the state legislature at Vidhana Soudha on Mar 3.
Governor Gehlot, in his customary address to the joint sitting of the state legislature, highlighted the state’s approach and said: "The Karnataka model of development means creating a people-centric economic, social, and cultural governance. Green energy, women empowerment, etc., are also included in this."
Citing international praise, Gehlot mentioned that Oxford University referred to Karnataka’s model as “Shining a Light in the Darkness” and “A Blueprint for the World” in its Human Rights Hub blog.
He also noted that the head of the United Nations had personally visited Karnataka to study its development initiatives and openly lauded the state's programs.
Addressing concerns that the government's ambitious welfare schemes could hinder financial growth, the Governor dismissed these fears, stating, "The government has proven these predictions to be false."
