The seized belongings in the disproportionate assets case of former Tamil Nadu chief minister J Jayalalithaa have been officially handed over to the state government.
The transfer, carried out following a court order, marks a significant development in the decades-long legal battle.
The seized assets, which had been in the custody of Karnataka authorities, included 27 kg, 558 grams of gold jewelry, 1,116 kg of silver, and documents related to 1,526 acres of land.
These valuables were stored in the Karnataka Vidhana Soudha treasury and were formally transferred in the presence of court and government officials.
