Chennai street, where SPB lived, officially renamed as SP Balasubrahmanyam Road

The street in Chennai's Nungambakkam where legendary singer SP Balasubrahmanyam once lived has officially been renamed.

From now on, Kamdar Nagar Main Road in Nungambakkam will officially be called SP Balasubrahmanyam Road. Deputy Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Udhaynidhi Stalin unveiled the title board today.

The renaming was done in honour of SP Balasubrahmanyam's contributions to music. Minister of Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments PK Sekar Babu, Chennai Corporation officials, and members of SP Balasubrahmanyam's family were also present during the unveiling ceremony today.
