Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is likely to participate in the 18th G20 summit in New Delhi later this year. Obaidul Quader, a minister in the Sheikh Hasina-led government, on Friday (May 26) said she will be participating as the representative of a 'guest country' in the summit.

Quader, who is also the General Secretary of the Bangladesh Awami League, said, “India has invited PM Hasina to attend the G20 summit taking place in September. Ahead of that, we will hold a party-to-party meeting."

He also stated that the ruling party members may visit India in June as well.
