Trinamool open to seat-sharing talks with Congress in Bengal, Meghalaya: Sources

The Trinamool Congress is open to engaging in seat-sharing talks with the Congress again for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections

The Trinamool Congress is open to engaging in seat-sharing talks with the Congress again for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, sources told India Today on Thursday. The TMC is willing to share seats with the Congress in West Bengal, Meghalaya and Assam, added the sources.

This comes close to a month after TMC supremo and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee declared that her party will contest the upcoming Lok Sabha elections alone in the state.

The TMC changing its stance comes hours after sources told India Today TV that the Congress and the AAP came to an agreement for the Lok Sabha seats in Delhi. Congress is likely to get three of the seven seats while the ruling AAP might contest the remaining four.
