Congress leader Harish Rawat on Saturday said that Rahul Gandhi would contest the 2024 Lok Sabha elections from Wayanad as well.

Congress leader Harish Rawat on Saturday said that Rahul Gandhi would contest the 2024 Lok Sabha elections from Wayanad as well.

The remark comes just a day after Uttar Pradesh Congress president Ajay Rai said that Rahul Gandhi will definitely contest next year’s general elections from Amethi.

Talking about Rahul Gandhi contesting a second seat in the 2024 polls, Harish Rawat called Amethi Rahul Gandhi “natural seat”, but added that Wayanad had supported the Congress leader in the time of crisis.

"Amethi is Rahul Gandhi's 'natural seat' but he will also fight from Wayanad because Wayanad supported him at the time of crisis," Congress leader Harish Rawat was quoted as saying by news agency PTI.
